The Future of Education Begins with Empowering Educators
My reflections on a 2-day residential AI training program with Nepal STEM Alliance, and why I believe teachers are the real starting point for change.

The future of education begins with empowering educators.
We recently organized a 2-day residential AI training program in collaboration with Nepal STEM Alliance, bringing together school leaders and educators to explore the transformative potential of Artificial Intelligence in education. For me, it was more than just an event. It was a reminder of why I believe in the power of teachers.
Watching educators walk in with curiosity and walk out with confidence was something I will not forget. Through hands-on sessions, they learned how to leverage AI for smarter school management, effective lesson planning, assessment design, educational leadership, and the responsible and ethical use of emerging technologies. But what stayed with me was not the tools. It was their willingness to learn, unlearn, and rethink the way they teach.
I realized that AI is not here to replace teachers. It is here to support them. And the real transformation happens when educators feel empowered to use these tools in ways that make sense for their classrooms and their students.
Together, we are fostering innovation, empowering educators, and building future-ready schools. This program was a small step, but it reinforced something I deeply believe: the future of education does not begin with new tools. It begins with the people who use them.
